Craig Souza
Craig is the founder and CEO of Business Awakens, Inc., a company dedicated to the proposition that “Business and Capitalism are agents for the creation of Heaven on Earth.” He will be the first to admit that he could have picked something easier, but he does love a bold challenge.
Known for being creative, funny (thanks, Mom!), and calm under pressure, Craig brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to his work. He has over thirty years of sales experience (the last 16 focused on enterprise services customers at HP), a BA in Theatre, a longtime meditation practice, a passion for DEIB work, and a deep love of the natural world.
Craig is especially passionate about working with diverse leaders, especially LGBTQ+ folks, believing that Queer people have a critical role to play as healers, cultural translators, and challengers of “normal.” His “Leveraging Our Queerness for Leadership” workshop helps queer leaders look inward to become more conscious and present, and to liberate their gifts. The Leading with Love workshop was originally developed for leaders of HP’s global employee resource groups.
He is a Certified Teacher of SIY Global’s offerings including “Search Inside Yourself”, “Adaptive Resilience”, and “Effective Teaming” and a dynamic Keynote speaker. Craig also facilitates small peer groups and provides individual coaching.
Craig’s purpose is to create safety for authenticity and love to flourish so that no one’s gifts and contributions are wasted, and he’s committed to taking you and your organization to the next level of alignment, harmony, and impact.

Consciousness
It’s Just a Hat
Swag can be fun... and it can boost consciousness. Yet it can also be a distraction. Follow this story and ask yourself, “How could we welcome the trouble the DEI movement finds itself in... as an opportunity to dialog with those who differ when it comes to creating workplaces where ALL feel safe and included?”
